Graduate Insurance Claims Technician - 4 day working week

The opportunity
An independent Lloyd's insurance broker based in the City of London is looking to recruit a graduate to join its team.
This is an entry-level position offering the opportunity to gain practical experience across insurance claims, finance, and general insurance processing. The role would suit a recent graduate looking for their first professional position and interested in developing a career within the insurance industry. Previous insurance experience is not required, as the successful candidate will learn the role within the team.
The role
The successful candidate will support the team with a range of insurance-related activities, including:
- Processing and administering insurance claims
- Assisting with finance-related and payment processes
- Checking and processing insurance documentation
- Working with figures, data, and spreadsheets
- Maintaining accurate records and systems
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies or queries
- Supporting the wider team with general insurance processing and administration
- Liaising with colleagues and other parties as required

About you
The company is looking for a graduate who is:
- Educated to degree level, ideally with a numerate degree
- Comfortable working with numbers and data
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Organised and methodical
- A good communicator
- Comfortable using Excel and other computer systems
- Reliable and willing to learn
- Interested in developing a career in insurance

Spanish language skills are desirable but not essential.
Experience
No previous insurance experience is required. This is intended as an opportunity for a graduate to gain their first experience within the insurance industry. Training and support will be provided, with the opportunity to develop knowledge and responsibility over time.
Working arrangements
This is a 4-day working week, with the successful candidate working four days each week, fully office-based, in the City of London office. This is a small team environment, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to work closely with experienced insurance professionals and gain exposure to different areas of the business.
