Graduate Materials Engineer (Corrosion / Infrastructure)
£28,000 - £32,000 + Annual Bonus + Employee-Owned Trust + Full Training + Long Term Progression + Hybrid Working + Company Benefits
Location: Nottingham
Are you a STEM graduate looking to build a specialist career in corrosion engineering, with full training and the opportunity to work on major UK infrastructure projects?
This growing specialist engineering consultancy develops advanced corrosion protection systems for reinforced concrete infrastructure across the UK and internationally. As an employee-owned business, you will join a close-knit technical team where you can develop niche expertise and have a genuine impact on the future of the company.
You will work alongside experienced engineers and industry experts, gaining hands-on experience across corrosion science, electrochemistry, materials testing, and cathodic protection. With every project different, you will work on structures including bridges, tunnels, car parks, ports, power stations, and other critical infrastructure.

This role would suit a STEM graduate with a strong interest in materials, chemistry, or engineering who is looking for specialist technical training, long-term progression, and the opportunity to become a qualified Corrosion Engineer.
The Role:
- Learn the mechanisms behind reinforced concrete deterioration and corrosion
- Analyse laboratory and site investigation results
- Interpret half-cell potential surveys, chloride profiles, and carbonation testing
- Assist with technical specifications and corrosion protection strategies
- Attend UK sites to inspect reinforced concrete structures
- Work alongside survey teams, engineers, and technical partners
The Person:
- Degree in Materials Engineering or another STEM discipline
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence preferred
