Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

LE10, Hinckley

Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, Graduate Design Engineer, CAD Design Engineer, Design Engineer jobs, hybrid / work from home flexibility.

Basic salary TBC (We suspect roughly £28,000 - £35,000 sort of region) + wider company benefits and a 12:30 finish on a Friday.

Working for a highly profitable business unit that are part of a global business – financially stable and reinvesting back into the business, operationally they are like an SME, so you get the best of both worlds!

Extremely varied role, you will get a chance to manage the full lifecycle of projects (Dealing with customers & suppliers), this is an excellent role to enhance your engineering career.

You will be designing a range of different systems – bespoke, custom solutions so no project is the same! Complex Mechanical systems, you will ideally need a background in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering.

This role will be highly suited to someone with a Mechanical Engineering degree and placement year or a couple of years working in industry.

This Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer job will suit:

  • Design Engineer
  • Graduate Design Engineer
  • CAD Design Engineer or similar

Working on a wide variety of bespoke projects, preparing 3D & 2D drawings to customer specifications.

You will need good communication skills, to work alongside colleagues as well as deal with suppliers & customers.

  • Any knowledge of CAD packages – Creo / SolidWorks or similar
  • Someone with manufacturing exposure, you may be an apprentice trained engineer, worked in a production or manufacturing role and now moved into a design focused position.
  • Eagerness to progress – the business is keen to bring someone in who they can put through a development plan, you will be given excellent training.
  • Any qualifications ideal – BEng / HND or equivalent in an Engineering related subject

This job is commutable from Leicester, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Coventry, Lutterworth, Tamworth and surrounding areas.
