Job Details

We are looking for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join a key client of ours in Bedford. The ideal candidate will have experience using Solidworks.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the confidence to collaborate with colleagues, clients, and suppliers as well as be flexible to attend site surveys.

The Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will be taking bespoke materials handling equipment from concept to completion including prototyping and liaising with the manufacturing team to ensure manufacturability.

Key Requirements

  • Experience using CAD software to produce both 2D drawings and 3D models using Solidworks and AutoCAD
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Design Engineering
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, customers, and other departments

This role does offer Hybrid working after an initial settling-in period
