Graduate Mechanical Engineer
HCS are recruiting for a Graduate Engineer within the Engineering Department. The successful candidate will become an integral member of the team assisting with the design, assembly and testing of bespoke equipment. Each project offers a new set of challenges across multiple disciplines (mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic) that provides a unique learning opportunity.

- Develop engineering calculation packages to validate designs using hand calculations and FEA software
- Assist with the selection of components (pumps/motors/gearboxes etc) and validate selection with calculations
- Generate 3D models and 2D fabrication, manufacture/assembly drawings
- Participate in design reviews with internal and external parties to ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards
- Generate test procedures and operation manuals for equipment
Requirements
- BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Desire to learn
- Self-motivated problem solver
- Ability to interpret technical drawings

Desirable
- Knowledge of drawing and FEA packages (SolidWorks, ANSYS, AutoCAD)
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Work experience in a technical role (preferred but not essential)
