Graduate Mechanical Engineer (Delivery)

Salary: £30,500

Location: Redhill, Chester, Swansea

Contract Type: Full Time Permanent

Closing Date: 06/01/2027

The Role

Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is seeking motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineers to join its Delivery team, based in Redhill, Chester and Swansea.

The Delivery team is responsible for consulting, delivering and managing critical infrastructure projects within the water sector. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate to develop their technical and professional skills while working towards professional qualification.

You will work closely with experienced engineers and wider project teams, supporting projects both locally and, where required, nationally. The role will involve working from the office as well as attending client offices and project sites, so a willingness and ability to travel is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver defined packages of work safely, efficiently and within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Develop an understanding of project scope, client requirements and contractual changes.
  • Understand customer needs and translate both basic and performance requirements into effective engineering solutions.
  • Support feasibility studies, optioneering, outline design and detailed design activities.
  • Manage and prioritise workloads across multiple projects.
  • Produce clear, concise and high-quality technical deliverables tailored to the intended audience.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering Managers, Project Managers and Regional Delivery Directors.
  • Contribute effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and support the successful delivery of client requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
