About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the legal operations function of a global law firm at a time when the legal services market is experiencing a period of significant change, driven by growing expectations, new technology and an evolving competitor marketplace. Our clients are increasingly looking for new approaches to satisfy the needs of their legal challenges. Legal Operations is no longer simply a support function, it is a strategic capability as we fundamentally change the way in which we deliver legal services to our clients.
Our Graduate Operations Analyst role is part of an innovative and forward-thinking initiative designed to cultivate the next leaders in the legal operations field. Over the course of two years, participants will have the opportunity to work across key operational areas: Legal Project Management, Helix (managed legal services), Legal Delivery Centre and Practice Management. This opportunity not only offers a comprehensive introduction to the multifaceted world of legal operations but also provides a pathway to a potential permanent position within our firm, contingent upon business needs and individual performance.
This role requires attendance in our London office 3 days a week where you will have the opportunity to sit with some of the teams you are working across.
This role is suited to candidates seeking a long-term career in legal operations or in operations functions more broadly. The work will not constitute Qualifying Work Experience under the SQE route to qualification. Therefore, this role is not best suited to those looking for a Training Contract or to otherwise qualify as a Solicitor.
The Role
- Supporting legal operations projects across Legal Project Management, Helix, the Legal Delivery Centre and Practice Management.
- Analysing operational data and preparing reports, dashboards and presentations.
- Helping document processes, requirements, feedback and lessons learned.
- Supporting the creation of templates, guidance notes, knowledge resources and user materials.
- Coordinating tasks, meetings, actions and updates across teams.
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery and ways of working.
- Learning and applying relevant legal technology and AI tools responsibly.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
