About the Role

This role is a graduate opportunity to join the central operations team of a leading London Market insurance syndicate, supporting the smooth running of core processes that underpin underwriting and policy administration.

You will sit at the heart of the operation, helping to coordinate and quality-check critical data and documentation flows between internal teams and external market stakeholders, ensuring work moves through the lifecycle accurately, consistently and on time.

This is a highly operational role: you will develop a strong understanding of how a London Market syndicate runs day to day, and how well-designed processes, controls and data discipline enable effective underwriting and client service.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the central operations team with day-to-day processing and control activities, helping to keep core workflows moving efficiently across the syndicate.
  • Reviewing and validating key operational data and documentation, ensuring information is complete, consistent and correctly captured in line with internal standards.
  • Monitoring the status of ongoing tasks and submissions, escalating delays or issues, and helping stakeholders stay on top of upcoming actions and deadlines.
  • Assisting with the investigation and resolution of operational queries from internal teams and market counterparties, maintaining clear, professional communication throughout.
  • Contributing to internal reporting and control checks, helping the team evidence data quality, operational discipline and adherence to agreed procedures.
  • Identifying patterns in recurring issues and suggesting pragmatic improvements to simplify, standardise or de-risk existing ways of working.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
