About The Role
Teach South is recruiting graduates for varied support positions within secondary schools throughout East Sussex. These Graduate Opportunities in Education suit those considering careers in teaching, youth work, psychology, counselling, social work or similar fields. Roles include teaching assistant, cover supervisor and pastoral support, offered on a temporary basis with full time, part time and flexible working patterns available. Opportunities Include
Teaching Assistants
- Supporting students in the classroom and helping them to achieve their potential
- Providing additional support to students who may have additional learning needs
- Working alongside teachers and other support staff
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Cover Supervisor
- Supervising classes in the absence of the usual teacher
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students remain engaged
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Gaining valuable experience of working within a secondary school setting
Pastoral Support
- Supporting students with their wellbeing, attendance and engagement
- Building positive relationships with young people
- Working alongside pastoral teams, teachers and families
- Helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential
