Graduate Planner: London
Salary: GBP28,000 - GBP30,000
A well-established and growing planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Planner to join its London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent planning graduate looking to build their career within a supportive consultancy, gain hands-on experience across a varied project portfolio, and work towards their professional development.
The Role
As a Graduate Planner, you will support experienced planners across a range of projects, gaining exposure to the full planning process. You will work alongside clients, local authorities, and other consultants while developing your technical and professional planning skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
- Supporting the preparation of planning statements, reports, and other documentation.
- Undertaking planning policy and development research.
- Liaising with local planning authorities and other stakeholders.
- Supporting senior planners with a variety of planning projects.
- Monitoring planning applications and providing updates to clients.
- Assisting with site appraisals and planning assessments.
- Developing knowledge of the UK planning system and relevant legislation.

Requirements
- A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
- Ideally some relevant planning experience through a placement, internship, or graduate role.
- Good understanding of the UK planning system.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good research and analytical abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
