✈️ We’re Hiring: Graduate Planning & Records Engineer
Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career in the aviation industry? Willis Aviation Services Limited (WASL) is looking for a Graduate Planning & Records Engineer to join our team and develop their skills within our UK CAA and EASA Part-145 approved aircraft maintenance environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is organised, analytical and keen to develop a career within aircraft maintenance planning, technical records and aviation engineering. You’ll work closely with experienced maintenance and planning professionals, gaining valuable hands-on experience across a range of aircraft maintenance activities.
Summary
This is a role within the UK CAA and EASA Part 145 approved aircraft maintenance functional area, supporting the production planning of aircraft maintenance and the C cert engineer control workflow within Tracking Plus.
Responsibilities
- Support the review of customer work packages and assist the C cert engineer and planning team with planning aircraft maintenance checks.
- Assist with identifying requirements for engine runs, functionals, tooling and other activities required for planned maintenance checks.
- Support the creation and maintenance of Gantt charts to provide customers with key milestones of planned checks.
- Liaise with the Planning team, CAMO and customer planning teams to support changes to planned inputs.
- Assist with raising CAMO requested Addendums within Tracking Plus and monitoring additional work.
- Support the planning team with requests for 3rd party services as required to support Part 145, eg, NDT, Cleaning.
- Assist with liaison with aircraft and engine manufacturers and relevant CAMOs as required.
- Assist the C cert engineer with relevant information and data for the Daily Status Report.
- Using Tracking Plus, support the identification of problems with current Workorders.
- Review Tracking Plus (electronic records system), identify errors and/or omissions and liaise with maintenance personnel to support appropriate corrections being made.
- Participate in internal and external stakeholder liaison meetings as required.
- Perform any additional duties or tasks as directed by the Planning & Records Supervisor.
- Actively support and promote a positive safety learning culture through the reporting of occurrences and potential hazards and by adopting continuous improvement and human factors principles with their work.

Requirements
- A degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering, aviation, aerospace, planning or other relevant discipline.
- An interest in aircraft maintenance, aviation engineering and/or production planning.
- A willingness to learn and develop knowledge of Part-145 and Part-M/CAMO requirements.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Good attention to detail and an analytical approach to problem solving.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability and willingness to interpret technical information and data.
- Good IT skills and confidence learning new systems, including electronic records systems such as Tracking Plus.
- Technical knowledge or experience of B737 and/or A320 family/types would be desirable but is not essential.
- Knowledge of HF, EWIS & FTS would be desirable but is not essential.
The post holder will be expected to carry out any other duties allocated that are appropriate to the grade and nature of this post. Job descriptions will be reviewed and discussed annually in line with the Staff Appraisal Scheme.
