Join Grayce as a Graduate PMO Consultant and support a high-profile public-sector transformation programme.
You’ll contribute to work designed to improve essential community services, including housing, community support and local operations. Your work will help project teams plan effectively, manage risks, monitor progress and make informed decisions.
You’ll gain hands-on experience at the heart of a complex organisational change programme, while developing transferable skills in project management, governance, finance and stakeholder engagement.
The role combines meaningful client work with Grayce’s Accelerated Development Programme, dedicated mentoring, a minimum of six industry-recognised accreditations and additional CIPFA-aligned training.
A genuinely flexible working pattern
You’ll usually spend one day each week at the relevant client office, with the remaining four days worked remotely.
The client opportunities are connected to Woking and Essex. Further information about the location relevant to your opportunity will be provided during the application process.
Because you’ll only need to attend the office once a week, this opportunity may be suitable even if you live further away and would need to commute for between one and two hours.

Your responsibilities may include:
Project planning and control
- Updating project plans, timelines and milestones
- Monitoring progress against agreed objectives
- Tracking actions, decisions and dependencies
- Helping teams keep project information accurate and up to date
Governance and reporting
- Supporting governance meetings and processes
- Preparing project updates and performance reports
- Maintaining templates, frameworks and delivery standards
- Helping ensure information is clear, consistent and reliable
Risk and issue management
- Maintaining risk, assumption, issue and dependency logs
- Following up with project teams for updates
- Helping identify risks that could affect delivery
- Escalating information to the appropriate stakeholders
Budgets and business cases
- Supporting budget tracking and financial reporting
- Gathering information for business cases
- Helping project teams understand costs, progress and potential benefits
Stakeholder engagement
- Coordinating meetings and workshops
- Preparing agendas, papers and actions
- Building relationships across different project teams
- Communicating information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
You’ll typically work with one client at a time. This allows you to understand the organisation, build trusted relationships and see how a major transformation programme develops.
