Graduate Pricing Data Scientist

We're looking for a Graduate Pricing Data Scientist (or with up to 1 year of industry experience in a non-life actuarial or pricing role) to help establish and shape pricing capability within a technology-led insurance business operating in a highly data-driven sector. This is a rare opportunity to have a significant impact, designing core pricing infrastructure and influencing analytical strategy from an early stage.

They are an established insurer with ambitious plans to re-establish itself as the number one provider within its specialist markets. Significant investment in pricing, data science, and technology is creating an exciting environment for individuals who want to make a visible commercial impact.

You'll play a key role in supporting the Head of Pricing in building foundational pricing capability, combining data science, pricing analytics, and software engineering skills to create scalable solutions that directly influence commercial outcomes.

A major focus of the role will be supporting the designing and developing of a new in-house Python rating engine, alongside creating the data and modelling foundations required for long-term pricing sophistication.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
