About the job
Kent is looking for a Graduate Process Engineer to be based in Woking.
As part of a leading engineering and projects business which operates in the Oil & Gas, and Energy Transition sectors you will embark on a journey towards becoming a Chartered Engineer within your respective discipline. You will be supporting client projects across the sectors and increasingly gain more responsibility and influence as you develop and progress as a Professionally Qualified Engineer.
Foremost amongst your attributes will be your ability to support a range of projects, your passion to develop your own technical expertise (as well as your career), and to become a great communicator, in order to develop and build relationships with clients and colleagues within the wider Kent business.

Recruitment Timeline
Shortlisting and pre-screening of applications will commence in early November. Candidates selected to progress to the next stage will be invited to interview, with interviews scheduled to take place from late November to early December 2026.

Hybrid Working
We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, with a requirement to be in the offices three days a week. This approach supports the development of a strong and effective team dynamic.

Skills & Responsibilities

Functioning as part of a team and under the direction of lead / senior process engineer, execute traditional and new energy & chemicals projects, including renewable energy and green hydrogen projects. Tasks will include H&MBs, performing simulations, process calculations, generating Line List and Equipment List, developing PFDs, UFDs and P&IDs, design of process equipment, line hydraulics, equipment datasheets and participation in safety studies including HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA.

Undertakes specific tasks / area of work as defined by the lead / principal / senior process engineer.

Executes allocated tasks within the requirements of the project scope, people hours, project execution plan and

Works to the requirements of the design basis and industry standards.

Executes work in compliance with client specification, Kent’s ISO accredited quality management system, and project specific procedures, guides and standards.

Performs related duties as and when instructed by lead / principal / senior process engineer or group manager.

Provides input to multidiscipline deliverables.

Supports decision making by other engineers.

Coordinates L&L sessions with Licensors and Vendors on emerging technologies.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience
- Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Safety, Environmental & Energy Engineering, Environmental Process Engineering, Process Systems Engineering – degrees to be accredited by IChemE.
