Your Role in the Team
The Allstate Early Career Development Programme is designed to help you launch your career in technology. As a full-time Graduate Product Engineer, you will work directly within an Allstate Technology Solutions team, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to high-impact projects while helping to solve real business problems using modern technologies.
You will contribute to the development of high-quality, scalable applications and systems that deliver value for Allstate and its customers. Working across the full technology stack, you will gain hands-on experience with a range of modern technologies and engineering practices, which may include programming languages such as Java, Python and JavaScript, cloud platforms, APIs, databases, DevOps tools, and front-end and back-end development frameworks used to deliver innovative products and solutions for Allstate and its customers.
The ANI Early Careers training programme provides a structured introduction to Allstate, combining onboarding, business awareness, and professional skills development. A key focus is building AI literacy from day one, with dedicated sessions on AI fundamentals and practical AI learning, alongside training in communication, resilience, decision-making, and customer experience. The programme helps graduates build early connections, understand the business, and develop the skills needed to thrive in a technology-driven environment. After six months of various learnings online and in person, we ask participants to present their growth journey, reflecting on both their technical achievements and personal development since joining the organisation. Training and development activities during the programme will be delivered in person to provide hands-on learning and networking opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Consumer Journey Advocacy & Domain Expertise: Contribute across the full technology stack, working with modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
- Outcome-Based Iterative Delivery: Help define product requirements, prioritise features, and collaborate with teams to meet goals.
- Design & Systems Thinking: Use design thinking principles to create user-centric digital products and solve complex problems.
- Impact & Influence: Foster a positive team culture, effectively influence stakeholders, and communicate with clarity.
- Key Performance Indicator & Performance Measurement: Track and measure key performance indicators to evaluate success and iterate for improvement.
Essential Skills
- All applicants must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this program.
- Are completing by September 2027 or have recently completed (within the last 2 years), a practical, engineering-focused IT degree or related discipline, with a minimum degree classification of 2:1 or commendation.
- Have less than one year of relevant professional experience gained after graduation.
- Have strong programming and system design fundamentals.
- Are curious, collaborative, and passionate about building meaningful, high-quality products.
- Applicants must provide a note of their average module marks to date or the classification they have been awarded if already graduated. Failure to do so will result in withdrawal from the recruitment process.
As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in-person assessment centre in early November 2026.
