Job Description

This unique 12-month graduate programme is based in London and offers a permanent contract. The exceptional opportunity for a recent master’s graduate is designed to provide in-depth, practical exposure to various areas of the business within a renowned Private Bank. Created as a comprehensive learning experience, enabling you to gain valuable insights into the finance industry and develop essential skills for a successful career in private banking.

The programme is structured around two rotations of 6 months – in the COO (Chief Operating Officer) team and Communications and Marketing team – after which the candidate will join the bank on a permanent basis.

This programme is specifically focused on young graduates holding a master’s degree, with a maximum of 12 months of professional experience since graduation. Upon successful completion, you will have the opportunity to transition into a permanent role within one of the teams, continuing your career with the bank and applying the knowledge, networks, and experience gained during the programme in a role aligned to your strengths and interests.

Role Description

The Role Will Have a Broad Remit

As part of the Communications team, the successful candidate will gain exposure to various initiatives designed to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and promoting the brand. The candidate will report to Head of Communications and Marketing and will collaborate with the wider Communications team in the UK and in Geneva / other global locations.

The key areas of focus will include:

  • Preparing external and internal communications
  • Drafting briefing notes for spokespeople for media engagements and events
  • Supporting internal and client events
  • Supporting delivery of digital campaigns

In the COO team, the successful candidate will report to the Head of COO Office Strategy and will get exposure to COO teams: Operations, Technology, HR, Legal, Change Management and Strategy. You may work on topics such as:

  • Building dashboards, KPIs, budgeting
  • Analyse processes and suggest improvements
  • Support delivery of strategic initiatives for example by tracking milestones, risks, dependencies
  • Support data quality initiatives
  • Prepare materials and packs for forums or operational committees

Recent graduate (Master’s degree) in Finance, Business, Marketing, Media and PR, Economics or Engineering from a highly recognised university.

Work Experience

Relevant initial work experience in the finance industry (internship) is an advantage but not mandatory.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of MS Office tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Language Proficiency

Fluency in English is required.
