At M Group Water we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will join BGEN - one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
We have the exciting opportunity for a Graduate Project Engineer to join BGEN’s Infrastructure Team in Glasgow. This team designs and delivers MIECA solutions across various projects. As a Graduate Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in bringing projects to life by supporting our Project Delivery Team.
What you'll be doing:
- Support the Project Delivery team by sourcing materials, monitoring project progress, and proactively identifying and communicating potential risks or delays.
- Manage a portfolio of minor works projects while contributing to the successful delivery of larger-scale projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timelines are maintained.
- Provide support to both field and office-based engineering teams, ensuring they are confident, well-equipped, and able to perform effectively.
- Grow technical knowledge while working both in the office and on-site—taking part in surveys, installations, client meetings, and design reviews.
- Preparing risk assessments and method statements to contributing to pre-job briefings, you’ll help ensure projects start safely and run smoothly.
- Be the main point of client contact for assigned projects and ensure any significant issues (e.g. delays or cost impacts) are escalated to the Key Account Managers or Project Managers.
- Attend client sites as necessary to review job progress and ensure packages of work are signed off by the Project Managers.

- A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good planning, organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Organised, reliable, and collaborative approach to work.
- An UK/EU Driving License
