The Role
Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a motivated Graduate Project Managers to join its Delivery team in the South East and Wales.
The Delivery team is responsible for consulting, delivering, and managing critical infrastructure projects within the water sector. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop their project management, technical, and professional skills while working towards a professional qualification.
You will work closely with experienced Project Managers, engineers, and wider multidisciplinary project teams, supporting the successful delivery of projects both locally and, where required, nationally. The role will involve working from the office, attending client offices, and visiting project sites, so a willingness and ability to travel is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Typically, you will assist and support the Project Manager in the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, including:
- Assisting the Project Manager in ensuring project scope, objectives, and deliverables are clearly defined and understood.
- Supporting the planning, execution, monitoring, and control of projects across scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management.
- Supporting contract management activities, predominantly under the NEC suite of contracts, including assessing applications for payment and updating monthly programmes.
- Supporting the delivery of projects in line with agreed financial targets and the original project business case.
- Coordinating activities across the project team and supporting effective communication between disciplines.
- Managing competing priorities and balancing workloads across multiple projects.
- Organising professional client meetings, preparing and distributing minutes, and monitoring actions through to completion.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Assisting with the preparation and review of project proposals, tenders, and cost estimates for new work.
- Supporting the assessment and management of technical and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle and sales process.
- Assisting in ensuring Health & Safety and Quality procedures are effectively implemented and maintained on project sites.
- Supporting the successful completion, commissioning, and handover of projects.

About You
This opportunity is ideally suited to a recent graduate who is looking to join an accredited graduate training scheme and develop the experience, knowledge, and competencies required to achieve a professional qualification.
We Are Looking For Someone Who Can Demonstrate
- A genuine interest in managing impactful water and environmental infrastructure projects.
- An interest in working towards a professional qualification in Project Management.
- A degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics), or a degree in another discipline supported by strong STEM A-level qualifications.
- A strong desire to develop technical, commercial, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- The ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
- A willingness to learn, take responsibility, and develop throughout the graduate programme.
- Previous experience in project management, engineering, or a technical environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
