Graduate Project Manager

Location: East of England

Business: Binnies, part of the RSK Group

Alliance: @one Alliance

Reporting to: Lead IPL

About The Role

Are you a recent graduate looking to build a career in Project Management and gain broad experience across the water and infrastructure industry?

We’re looking for a Graduate Project Manager to join our team at Binnies, working as part of the @one Alliance.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a 360-degree understanding of the @one Alliance through rotational placements across Project Delivery, Commercial, Engineering, Solutions and Site/Commissioning.

You’ll be involved in a variety of projects and continuous improvement initiatives, working alongside different teams and gaining valuable experience while contributing to collaboration, innovation, and improved project delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Graduate Project Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop your understanding of project management techniques within the Alliance.
  • Contribute your own ideas and approaches to project management.
  • Develop a joined-up approach to project management across teams to improve efficiency.
  • Take opportunities to lead projects across different teams, delivering tangible outcomes while learning and developing along the way.
  • Develop an understanding of how and when to intervene and implement mitigation to keep projects on track.
  • Learn to manage competing priorities while working towards time, cost, quality, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Build strong stakeholder engagement approaches and techniques.
  • Work as a facilitator between teams across the Alliance, helping promote common goals.
  • Identify current challenges and obstacles across teams.
  • Use data, evidence, innovation, and investigative techniques to suggest new ways of working and approaching challenges.

Your Development

Through your rotational placements, you’ll gain exposure to different areas of the Alliance while developing both your technical and professional skills.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, curious, and keen to develop a career in Project Management.

Essential

  • A degree in Business Studies or Project Management.
  • A personable approach, with the ability to quickly build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, with a humble approach to developing your skills.
  • An innovative mindset and willingness to explore new ideas.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Strong IT capabilities and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.

Desirable

It Would Be Beneficial If You Have

  • Previous experience or involvement in project management.
  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge or experience of the water or construction industry.
