Graduate Project Manager - Pre-Construction
Contract Type: Fixed term contract – 2 years
Reporting Office: London, Stratford
Location: London – West Ham Lane, Stratford
Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week
Grade: Graduate / Early Talent grade
Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)
Salary: £31,000 per annum

Introduction
We are looking for an ambitious graduate to join our busy and supportive Pre-Construction team and train as a Pre-Construction Project Manager.
In this role, you will help develop and prepare major works programmes for delivery across our housing portfolio. As your experience grows, you will build the knowledge and skills needed to manage pre-construction activities for a wide range of planned maintenance projects.
About the Role
Working across our London and North West housing stock, you will support the Pre-Construction Regional Manager and Major Works Team to ensure projects are fully prepared before work begins.
Projects may include:
- Kitchen and bathroom refurbishments
- Window and roof replacements
- Mechanical and electrical works
- Other planned improvement programmes
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing programme and asset data
- Carrying out pre-work inspections
- Reviewing validation surveys
- Assisting with party wall notices
- Supporting planning applications where required
- Ensuring works are compliant with leasehold requirements
- Liaising with consultants and contractors

- Help develop our planned programmes ready for handover to our delivery teams
- Build relationships with other teams within and outside major works
- Build key relationships with your team and the delivery teams
Your work will help us to deliver our major works programme on time, cost and quality.
What you'll bring:
- A 2.1 degree (or higher) in a built environment subject
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
- Good IT skills
- Initiative-taking – Passion to learn and progress your career
- Understanding of Excel
- Enthusiastic about working in project management and construction
- Communication and customer skills
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills
- Be commercially minded and a strategic thinker
- Must be flexible in terms of travel
- Must be able to work in the UK
