Job Title: Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Role Purpose

The Graduate Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial team in managing project costs, contracts, and financial performance. Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors, the role will provide exposure to all aspects of cost management from tender through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and commercially controlled.

Responsibilities & Duties

Including but not limited to the following:

  • Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets.
  • Support the measurement and valuation of works completed.
  • Help prepare subcontractor packages and contract documentation.
  • Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with procurement activities and supplier evaluations.
  • Support the preparation of interim applications, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation.
  • Attend project meetings and liaise with operational teams.
  • Assist with contract administration and change management processes.
  • Develop an understanding of NEC and other construction contracts.

Qualifications and Experience

A relevant degree in one of the below:

  • Quantity Surveying
  • Commercial Management
  • Construction Management
  • Construction Economics
  • Civil Engineering (with commercial modules)
