Gatwick Construction Limited is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding commercial team.
This is not a typical graduate position.
You will work directly alongside our Senior Quantity Surveyor, an accomplished commercial professional with over 36 years of construction industry experience spanning major infrastructure, aviation, civil engineering, commercial, residential and public sector projects.
This role offers a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience under the mentorship of a highly respected industry professional who has progressed from Trainee Quantity Surveyor through to Commercial Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyor on projects valued up to £140 million.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with project cost management.
- Preparing measurements and take-offs.
- Supporting monthly valuations and applications.
- Monitoring project budgets and forecasts.
- Assisting with subcontract procurement.
- Reviewing subcontractor applications and accounts.
- Preparing variation and Compensation Event submissions.
- Maintaining commercial records and documentation.
- Attending site and client meetings.
- Learning commercial management best practice from experienced professionals.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an individual who is:
✅ Degree qualified (or soon to graduate) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline. ✅ Ambitious and eager to learn. ✅ Numerically strong with excellent attention to detail. ✅ Commercially minded and analytical. ✅ Able to communicate confidently with clients and colleagues. ✅ Interested in developing a long-term career within Civil Engineering and Construction.
