Graduate Quantity Surveyor - Construction

About The Role
A highly regarded specialist construction company is looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Working across some of the Cotswolds' most prestigious residential projects, you'll gain hands-on experience across the commercial side of new builds, refurbishments, restorations, listed buildings, and bespoke construction projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to develop a long-term career in Quantity Surveying within the high-end construction sector, working alongside experienced commercial and project professionals.
The Role
Working closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers, you will support the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- Assist with cost planning, estimating, and project budgets
- Support the preparation and analysis of tenders and quotations
- Assist with procurement of subcontractors and materials
- Help prepare and manage subcontractor packages
- Monitor project costs and expenditure
- Assist with valuations, applications for payment, and variations
- Support the preparation of cost reports and forecasts
- Assist with measuring works and reviewing quantities
- Maintain accurate commercial and project documentation
- Work closely with site teams to monitor progress and costs
- Assist with final accounts and project close-out
- Develop your understanding of contracts, commercial risk, and cost control

About You
We're looking for someone who is commercially aware, organised, and keen to develop their career within Quantity Surveying.
You'll Ideally Have
- A degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related construction discipline
- An interest in high-end residential construction, refurbishment, or bespoke building
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
- The ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ambition to progress and take on increasing responsibility

Previous construction experience or a placement year would be advantageous but is not essential.
