The Graduate Quotations Engineer Role
The Graduate Quotations Engineer role will support the external Sales Team by managing the day to day operation of the quotation process from initial contact to Project Fulfilment handover. The primary objective is to provide technical and pricing support to the sales team and direct to customers through quotation and correspondence for Equipment, Service, Contracting & Controls channels.
Sales and Business Development
- Ensure Qualification process is followed
- All customer requested dates are achieved
- The quotation rate for Sales Engineers is reduced
- Orders Entered on time and accurately
- Achieve target quotation hit rate for Customer quotes
- Ensure all incoming enquiries are qualified, assessed, prioritized and scheduled, customer dates are achieved, and Customer and Sales Engineer is updated on any changes or alternatives to their expectations
- Ensure all solutions and services are selected & quoted to an optimum and competitive standard
- Add value wherever possible, discussing alternatives with customers and sales engineers
- Ensure close communication/liaison with sales engineers on all quotations
- Ensure all incoming orders are technically validated and handed over to project team in an acceptable timescale
- Ensure pricing and margins are in full compliance with required authorizations
- Assist the Sales Engineers, and Internal Sales with the development and implementation of sales strategies to generate leads and convert them into sales opportunities.

Technical Development
- Desire to learn and develop a deep understanding of solutions in the HVAC and Process Temperature Control Industry, including Process Chillers, Temperature control units, related equipment, and Installation.
- Gain confidence with technical guidance and support to customers, helping them select the most suitable solutions based on their specific requirements.
- Collaborate with the external sales engineering and project management teams.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact.
- Understand customer needs and provide timely and effective solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Collaborate with the external sales engineering and set leads and appointments on CRM.

Internal Controls:
- Compliance with and participation in any QHSE and Trane Technologies initiatives within the function and any Country specific general and industry regulated compliance to include risk assessments and QHSE training.
- Compliance with internal code of conduct and ethical frameworks
- Take control of their development and learning pathways through My Learning.
- Align business goals to reach bonus targets and individual performance with feedback from customers, stakeholders, and line manager.
- Any other ad hoc duties reasonably requested by your line manager.
Skills and Capabilities:
- People skills with a positive mindset
- Good Communication
- Team Leadership and Collaborative teamwork
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management Systems an advantage
- Right to Work in the UK
- A valid driver's license and the ability to drive in the country of application
