Valarian Technologies
Valarian Technologies is a dual-use technology company building critical tools to safeguard the future in an era of evolving global security challenges. We're rethinking security beyond traditional military domains, addressing asymmetric threats that impact our technological advantage, economic strength, and democratic institutions.
We build Acra – the platform foundation for everything we do as a dual-use technology company. The platform’s name, rooted in the Greek word for citadel (or, fortress), reflects the design and purpose of our infrastructure-agnostic secure enclaves: protecting critical data. Some of the government and commercial workflows include: increased operational resiliency for mission-critical systems and functions; enabling organisations to more quickly and widely adopt emerging technologies while ensuring the integrity of their intellectual property; information flow during disaster response scenarios, and zero-trust / least-privilege environments for M&A, attorney-client privileged communications, etc. And we’ve only scratched the surface.
At our core, we're driven by a shared mission and a belief in making a tangible impact on our world. Whether you join our London HQ or the wider global organisation, you’ll be a part of collaborative, high-performing teams, creating cutting-edge software, platforms, and infrastructure.
The Role
As a Graduate Recruiter, you will oversee early-careers recruitment across the entire business—spanning operations, commercial, strategy, product, growth, and core departments. Operating remotely, your primary focus will be leveraging established university relationships across the UK to build consistent pipelines of top graduate talent.
This role requires someone who deeply understands the higher education landscape and knows how to navigate university networks, career centers, and student organizations to position Valarian as an employer of choice.
What you’ll do
- End-to-End Early Careers Hiring: Manage full-lifecycle graduate, intern, and entry-level recruitment across all business functions.
- University Relationship Management: Build, expand, and maintain deep strategic relationships with top universities, career departments, academic heads, and student societies.
- Nationwide Campus Strategy: Design and execute targeted campus attraction campaigns, attending career fairs, guest lectures, and university networking sessions across the UK.
- Selection & Assessment: Own the evaluation processes, including CV screening, interviews, assessment, and pipeline.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Partner closely with leadership and team leads to map out hiring needs, define candidate profiles, and deliver efficient recruitment drives.
- Candidate Experience & Analytics: Deliver an engaging candidate journey from initial campus touchpoints through to offer acceptance and remote onboarding, while tracking pipeline conversion metrics.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
