I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who You Are
- A recent graduate (any discipline) with a keen interest in recruitment and the legal / financial / tech sectors.
- A natural communicator with strong interpersonal skills and an eye for building relationships.
- Ambitious, curious, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Ethical, professional, and committed to delivering outstanding service.
- A team player who thrives on collaboration and wants to grow with a dynamic firm.
- A background in sport has historically been a good indicator of all of the above. Not essential but the majority of the office has an interest in sport which provides common ground but is also a good platform to learn the transferable skills we are looking for (as we are not looking for any specific experience).

- Future Opportunities: Build a foundation for a rewarding career in recruitment or the wider legal / financial services / tech / people-focused industries.
