About The Company – Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Join a London-based specialist public-sector recruitment company that has spent years building and scaling its national, award-winning markets. Founded nearly a decade ago, the firm specialises in recruiting for large-scale Life Sciences businesses and operations, expanding from its previous smaller Biometrics focus.

With a solid international reach, they have managed to place candidates in 25+ different countries, with over 35,000+ successful candidates in their database. Whilst their preference is usually for hiring scientifically educated or knowledgeable consultants, they want recruitment consultants who are passionate, supportive, collaborative, confident, and trustworthy.

The Role – Trainee Recruitment Consultant

  • Build and manage relationships from day one, with start-ups, scale-ups, key decision-makers, and businesses across leading financial markets.
  • Speak with high-calibre and leading professionals about their careers.
  • Manage the recruitment process from initial contact through to placement.
  • Understanding client needs to deliver tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Source and engage top-tier talent and candidates across multiple search channels.
  • Act as the primary liaison between candidates and clients throughout the whole recruitment process.
  • Provide engaging interview preparation, feedback, and offer negotiation support and guidance.
  • Drive new business through pitching to high-growth tech and cybersecurity companies.
  • Consistently hitting or exceeding sales targets through placements, revenue, and growth.
  • Further developing your own specialist market and personal brand.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
