Recruitment Consultant

We’re looking for graduates to join deverellsmith as Recruitment Consultants. You don’t need recruitment experience, and we’re not looking for one specific degree. We’re much more interested in who you are - someone who’s confident, curious, ambitious and enjoys working with people!

If you’ve studied Property, Real Estate, Finance or a related subject, that’s a great bonus given the market we work in, but it’s definitely not essential. Recruitment is a people-focused, commercial career where you get a lot of responsibility early on. You’ll build relationships with businesses across the property industry, get to know your market and help people make some pretty important career moves.

A bit about us

deverellsmith is one of the UK’s leading property recruitment specialists. We work with some of the biggest names across residential development, estate agency, build to rent, affordable housing and real estate. You’ll join an established business with a great network, strong client relationships and a team that will help you learn the ropes.

What will you be doing?

  • Build relationships with clients across the property industry.
  • Speak to candidates and help them find their next opportunity.
  • Grow your professional network and become knowledgeable in your market.
  • Find new business and develop relationships with prospective clients.
  • Interview candidates and manage them through the recruitment process.
  • Negotiate salaries, fees and offers.
  • Work towards targets and earn commission on the business you generate.
  • Gradually take ownership of your own area of the market.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
