Graduate Recruitment Consultant – Hedge Funds & Quant Trading
Location: London
Salary: £27,000 basic, rising to £35,000 after two placements
Commission: Uncapped
Are you ambitious, commercially minded and motivated by the opportunity to build a high-earning career?
We are working with a fast-growing specialist recruitment firm operating across hedge funds, commodities, quantitative trading and trading technology. Approximately 80% of its placements are in the US, where the average fee is around £48,000 and individual fees can exceed £100,000.
The business currently has 10 employees and plans to grow to 20–25 people by the end of next year. It is looking for ambitious graduates and individuals with up to one year’s experience in recruitment or sales to join its next stage of growth.
The Opportunity
You will initially focus on candidate delivery, learning how to identify, approach and engage exceptional professionals for leading hedge funds and trading businesses.
Once you have completed your first two placements, you will be promoted to Associate Consultant, receive an £8,000 salary increase and begin training as a fully 360 recruitment consultant. You will learn how to win clients, develop your own relationships and take ownership of a specialist market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Culture
This is a genuinely sales-led environment with clear targets, structured coaching and a proven recruitment playbook. The culture is ambitious and performance-focused, while placing significant importance on respect, integrity, humility and teamwork.
The earning potential is exceptional for those who perform. One consultant who joined as a graduate less than two years ago is approaching £1 million in annual billings and on target to earn in excess of £400,000 this year.
If you are looking for a comfortable, low-intensity graduate role, this is unlikely to be the right opportunity. If you want excellent training, genuine responsibility and the chance to build a highly lucrative career in an international market, we would like to hear from you.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
