Graduate Research Executive – Observer (Multi-Market Research)

Application Deadline: 26 August 2026

Department: Graduate

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Harrow

Compensation: £28,000 / year

Description

Are you driven by data and passionate about insights? We are a leading global market research company, enabling organisations to make smarter, bolder, and faster decisions.

Great research doesn't happen in silos – it happens when talented people support and inspire each other. That's why we've built a collaborative, inclusive environment where every voice matters and your ideas will be heard from day one.

With a team of 30, you'll gain exposure to virtually every industry imaginable. We have a vast array of clients, from government departments to charities, from universities to pharmaceutical companies, from consultancies to financial services – Observer works with fascinating organisations. You will build real expertise and never get bored – every project has its own nuances to uncover, which means there's always something new to figure out.

As part of the Ipsos family, access to all major quantitative methods is at our fingertips – so we can always offer the best solution for our clients. As well as external clients, Observer partners with teams across Ipsos, harnessing its research design expertise to support our colleagues right across the business.

The Role

Turn curiosity into impact: as an emerging talent, your research role explores what people think, feel and do. Whether it’s helping clients to make business-critical decisions, implement and design policy, or get media exposure to position themselves as leaders in their field - your work will matter, helping to shape the world we live in.

You’ll partner closely with clients, manage research projects from start-to-finish, create and develop questionnaires, analyse and find compelling stories from data, support business development, and help raise the profile of Observer and of Ipsos. As you learn and grow, you will take on responsibility for end-to-end project management, developing your own partnerships with Ipsos’ clients. Along the way, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the research process – from contributing to discovery calls right through to delivery of results - while building strong commercial, analytical and client management skills.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
