GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Graduate - Sales to be based at our North West office, who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
As part of our recruitment process, those successful at telephone interview stage will be invited to an assessment day in Milton Keynes, on Thursday 10th December. This is currently the only date available for this.
Purpose of this role
The role of the Sales Graduate is to work in a clearly defined graduate programme within BUUK Sales, Marketing, Tendering, Design, Asset Ownership and Construction areas, to gain a solid understanding of our products, sales related processes, and ultimately a sound understanding of BUUK’s market and customers.
Your Key Responsibilities Are
- Working under supervision to undertake tasks or projects that will give practical experience in several areas: Sales, Tendering & Design, Construction and BUUK Group areas (including GTC, Power On, Metropolitan, Passiv, Levelise, IWNL & OFNL).
- Internal/external customer meetings.
- Asset management.
- Financial & data management.
- Rotate throughout different areas to explore other roles to gain solid understanding of wider business functions and how they operate together, and they can positively impact on the sales process in respect to a successful customer journey.
- Shadow Other Team Members In Different Functions And Areas.
- Gain a full understanding of the end-end sales process and customer journey.
- Gain and maintain knowledge of the sectors BUUK works in, its competitors and their activity and provide regular feedback including product and price discovery.
- Undertake specifically designed external sales training to understand the core selling process & skills.
- Experience real-time projects and actively contribute to their success, in association with colleagues.
- Build relationship with external customers and offer excellent customer service throughout the process from initial contact to responding to post sales query.
- Build strong internal relationships with other BUUK departments in order to aid the sales process and enhance the customer experience.

The role will require overnight stays in various parts of England and Wales.
Qualifications
A degree (achieved or working towards, a min. 2:1 grade) in a business or technical related subject or similar.
Experience/Knowledge
Experience and proficiency in using Microsoft Office software e.g., Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

- Demonstrate strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to build rapport.
- Ability to demonstrate working to tight timescales and under pressure.
- Organisational ability and sound time management skills.
- Creative and enquiring mind and a natural appetite to think laterally.
- Enthusiastic and determined to succeed.
Desirable
Experience of working within a team environment.
Face to face presentation skills and ability to adapt communication to the needs of the audience.

Conditions of Employment
You will hold a driving licence.
