Junior Sales Executive
We have a great opportunity for a talented and ambitious individual to join our Single Copy DDA sales team in London as a Junior Sales Executive. This team has always been a cornerstone of Mintel’s sales success story, and a great starting point as you develop your career in sales. This is a role where the primary focus will be selling ad-hoc reports to a mixture of new logos and existing clients.
Who this role would suit:
The ideal candidate will have some early experience in sales and seek a role where they can actively develop their sales skills set. This role requires someone who is curious, resilient, and determined to win by remaining focused on revenue opportunities. They must also be highly organised, have a ‘can-do’ attitude and have a passion for sales.
The responsibilities for this role:
- Results focused: Responsible for achieving single copy revenue and ensuring activity metrics by focusing on pipeline development. Managing the full sale cycle from prospecting, negotiating to closing.
- Client-Focused: Ensure the maximum Mintel solution is compelling and clearly defined for every client to meet their needs.
- Tech Savvy: Ensure the team is up to date with technology and using it in an appropriate and most advantageous manner including Microsoft Dynamics, Salesloft, Sales Navigator and LinkedIn.
- Curious & Client-Centric: Maintain product knowledge across all Mintel product lines, with a deep understanding of the impact and value we provide to clients in supporting their growth.
- Confident Communicator: Comfortable presenting over the phone via video calls to a wide range of Stakeholders, from Marketing Teams to C-Suite executives.
- Data driven: Actively manage and progress the sales pipeline, utilise the CRM for timely, transparent reporting and continuous performance improvement.
- Avid Learner: A growth mindset always seeking to learn and develop sales skills and techniques. Actively provide intervention when performance improvement is required.
- Business Partner: Work with internal stakeholders across Sales, Client Success, Insights, Marketing, Sales Enablement, Product Development and Finance to ensure your business goals and team are adequately supported.
- Caring, Fun & Inclusive: Take an active role in team and company events, incentives and celebrations.

Requirements:

- Fluent in English
- Degree educated with a strong interest in sales
- Comfortable in busy, outgoing environment
- Confident in a telephone/video-call based role
- Self-motivated, competitive and team player
- Willing to take on board new ideas and ways of working
- Energetic and naturally curious and inquisitive
- Successful record to date in terms of attitude, activity, sales and coachable
- Demonstrated aptitude for negotiation, retaining and growing revenue
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills
- A proven ability to exceed sales quotas demonstrated by a history of success is not required but would strengthen application.
