About the Role
QP Group is the access point to the industry's top 1% of leadership talent: a specialist executive search consultancy connecting innovative enterprises with the leaders who move them forward. Our Manchester team partners with venture- and private-equity-backed businesses, from disruptive early-stage start-ups to category-defining scale-ups, as they build out their commercial and executive leadership teams.
As a Graduate Sales Specialist, you'll be trained from day one in the craft of executive search: market mapping, candidate engagement, and client delivery, with ownership of your own specialist market faster than in almost any other graduate scheme. No prior recruitment or sales experience is required. We hire for attitude and coachability, and teach the rest.
What You'll Be Doing
- Learn and apply QP Group's search methodology: market mapping, longlisting, and structured outreach to senior leaders.
- Build genuine relationships with candidates and clients, representing QP Group's standards in every conversation.
- Support live search mandates end to end: sourcing, first-stage screening, and candidate management through to offer.
- Develop deep commercial knowledge of a specialist market, under the mentorship of experienced consultants and QP's Co-Founders.
- Contribute to business development, identifying and engaging high-growth, investor-backed companies as future clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
