Graduate Sales Development Representative

Your degree taught you how businesses work. This role teaches you how to win business.

Salary: £32,000-£36,000 basic (OTE £60,000-£80,000+ on completion)

Location: Northampton - Full-Time Office Based

Type: Graduate Programme | Permanent

THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL GRADUATE ROLE

Most graduate jobs promise "development". This one gives you responsibility, pressure, competition, progression and the chance to build a serious career in commercial sales from day one.

We are looking for ambitious graduates who are commercially curious, naturally competitive, resilient under pressure, and energised by speaking to people.

People who thrive in competitive environments.

People who ask questions instead of waiting for answers.

People who are motivated by targets, progression and achievement.

You might have developed that mindset through:

  • Competitive sport
  • Student enterprise or societies
  • Politics or debating
  • Part-time sales or customer-facing work
  • Leadership positions
  • Building something yourself
  • Academic pressure and high achievement

Whatever your background - you already know how to compete.

Now you need the right arena.

THE ROLE - SALES DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE (SDR)

This is a fast-paced business-to-business sales role within commercial finance.

As an SDR, your role is to speak with UK business owners, identify opportunities, build relationships, and create qualified meetings and opportunities for the senior sales team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
