Are you a recent Engineering graduate looking to launch your career in technical sales and sales engineering? If so, our client a specialist supplier of innovative ventilation solutions, working on prestigious projects, including major London commercial developments and major infrastructure projects will want to hear about you. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded Graduate Sales Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineering graduate to receive comprehensive product training and develop into a successful Sales Engineer within a specialist technical environment.

The Role

Initially office-based, you will develop your technical, commercial and customer-facing skills while gaining experience across the full sales and project lifecycle.

Duties Include

  • Responding to customer calls and enquiries relating to projects and technical requirements.
  • Making outbound sales calls and developing customer relationships.
  • Raising and processing sales orders.
  • Managing small to medium-sized projects from initial enquiry through to product supply.
  • Raising purchase orders with factories and suppliers.
  • Selecting appropriate technical products based on project requirements.
  • Developing engineering solutions and preparing accurate quotations.
  • Working closely with architects, specifiers and consulting engineers to provide technical quotations and solutions.
  • Visiting consultants, architects and contractors at offices and project sites to discuss current and future projects.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and key industry contacts.
  • Liaising with internal teams, suppliers and manufacturing facilities.
  • Occasional travel to European-based factories.

What We're Looking For

  • Engineering degree is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • An interest in technical sales, engineering solutions and product development.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and willing to learn.
  • An understanding of product design would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks would be advantageous.
  • A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
  • A valid passport is required due to occasional European travel.
