  • Taking on greater responsibility as your knowledge and confidence develop.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in candidates at the early stages of their career who can demonstrate genuine potential. You could be a recent graduate with some office, retail, hospitality or customer-facing experience, or perhaps you're already working in your first commercial role and feel ready for something with greater development opportunities.

You'll ideally have:

  • A degree or equivalent level of education.
  • Some previous office, administration, customer service or commercial experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
  • A genuinely customer-focused approach.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good numerical and analytical ability.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to organise your workload and manage several priorities.
  • A proactive attitude – you'll ask questions, use your initiative and want to understand how things work.
  • The maturity and professionalism to communicate with business customers.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is bright, personable, curious and keen to progress. You won't be expected to arrive knowing everything. You'll receive support while you learn the business, but you'll need the enthusiasm and ability to absorb information quickly and gradually take ownership.

Why Consider This Opportunity

This could be a particularly good move if you've completed your degree and are now looking for a role that gives you genuine commercial experience rather than simply another administrative job. You'll gain exposure to customer account management, sales, pricing, purchasing, projects and business operations while working alongside an experienced team. There is plenty to learn and scope to develop as you prove yourself. If you're ambitious, commercially curious and looking for an opportunity where your potential will be recognised, we'd really like to hear from you.
