Job title: Graduate Air Security Consultant
Location: Warton/Samlesbury (Lancashire). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week.
Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role Description
An excellent opportunity for a graduate entrant to develop a career in Security & Resilience within a highly regulated and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will gain experience across physical, personnel, information, and operational resilience, helping to protect sensitive assets, information, and operations. The Graduate will support and develop professional expertise across 3 areas in Security & Resilience:
- Security Operations Team in the implementing and maintenance of Security controls across the Air Estate
- Develop professional Security expertise while working on world-leading military aircraft programmes, critical to national and international defence
- Variety of activities to improve and assist with operational resilience and business continuity capabilities

Core duties
- Responsibility for all aspects of security, specifically for interpreting, implementing and monitoring security controls for the appropriate protection of classified assets held on site
- Provide Security advice to employees, help mitigate threats, conducting Threat and Risk assessments where necessary
- Support the delivery of security services across F-35 and Typhoon programmes, ensuring compliance with company, customer, and government security requirements
- Promote security awareness and best practice across programme teams, supporting investigations into security incidents where necessary
- Support the maintenance of business continuity and operational resilience documentation, records, reporting and the completion of resilience assessments and reviews
- Assist with resilience exercise and test activities, workshops, and the tracking of resulting actions

Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
Qualification Requirements
As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Physics, Maths, Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering & Computer Science, or relevant discipline
Start date: 5th July 2027
Length of contract: Permanent contract
