Graduate Site Engineer
Role purpose
The Graduate Site Engineer will support the delivery of construction and infrastructure projects by assisting with site engineering activities, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications.
Responsibilities & Duties
Including but not limited to the following:
- Assist with setting out and surveying activities.
- Support project teams with technical and engineering queries.
- Monitor site progress against programme requirements.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and maintain engineering records.
- Assist with preparing method statements and risk assessments.
- Support quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Liaise with subcontractors and site operatives.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained.
- Produce reports and as-built documentation.

Person Specification
- Strong technical aptitude
- Problem-solving ability
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to work on site and travel where required
- Positive and proactive attitude
Qualifications and experience
A relevant degree in one of the below:
- Civil Engineering
- Construction Engineering Management
- Structural Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering (for utility projects)
Desirable:
- Surveying and setting out techniques
- AutoCAD
- Construction methods
- Temporary works awareness
- Health and safety principles
- Project Planning Fundamentals
