Content Guru is thrilled to host a Graduate Assessment Day at our Bracknell Office on September 4th, in search of top calibre graduates to join our application engineering team as Software Developers.

This includes AI and propensity modelling developments to create seamless customer journeys that inspire loyalty and drive success globally.

Desired Profile

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field, Computer Science, or related subject.
  • Experience developing commercial projects/applications in C#.
  • Proficient in SQL and using relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with source control, particularly Git.
  • Familiarity with Agile environments, especially Scrum, and supporting practices.
  • Knowledge of OWASP ASVS or equivalent application security standards.
  • Experience with.NET 5 or 6, Javascript, Typescript, and frameworks such as React.js.
  • Proficiency in developing containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

Development

  • Write code in appropriate languages, primarily C#.
  • Design the architecture of new application components and achieve internal sign-off for development specifications when required.
  • Collaborate within an Agile team to develop back-end applications and features to meet project requirements.
  • Thoroughly test new features or developments to ensure desired task performance in all cases.
  • Work with Quality Assurance teams/processes to validate builds ready for launch.

Maintenance & Improvement

  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs as they are discovered or reported.
  • Perform ongoing platform maintenance or upgrades as required, adhering to internal change procedures.
  • Conduct peer reviews of colleagues' work.
  • Share ideas and participate in projects aimed at improving applications, processes, or the wider platform.
  • Review projects/deployments and learn lessons to improve future performance.
  • Design and pilot prototype applications as needed.
  • Stay updated with software development trends and technological advancements, experimenting with new technologies, frameworks, and languages as relevant.
