About The Role
We’re looking for a Graduate Software Engineer to join Telent, where you will apply your existing knowledge and skills working on real projects, whilst learning new skills along the way. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a range of different projects as well as progress your continuous professional development and become IET accredited.
This is a hybrid role with a blend of homeworking, working from the office based and occasional site visits.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work within agile software development teams to deliver high-quality solutions for critical digital infrastructure projects.
- Design, develop and test software applications using languages and frameworks such as C#, Java, JavaScript and SQL.
- Support integration and deployment of software systems, from requirements gathering through to delivery and commissioning.
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging and resolving software issues, ensuring systems perform reliably and securely in real-world environments.
- Learn and apply industry best practices in coding, version control, testing, and documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with peers and senior engineers to enhance code quality and share knowledge.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, adopting new tools, technologies, and methodologies that enhance project outcomes.
- Access ongoing mentoring and training, progressing towards professional accreditation and developing both your technical and leadership capabilities.

What You’ll Bring
- We’re looking for a recent Graduate that has studied Computer Science, Software Engineering, Maths or Physics
- Experience of using C#, Java, web-based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript Frameworks and SQL Service or other related platforms
- A flair for solving complex technical issues and can identify and understand risk to a Project
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with proven team working and leadership abilities
- Self-motivation, able to work on your own initiative and under pressure
- Practical use of Microsoft Office applications
