About ICS.AI
ICS.AI is the leading provider of AI transformation solutions to the public sector, working with local government, central government, health, housing, and education organisations across the UK. Our SMART: Unified AI Platform helps organisations move beyond AI pilots to measurable, guaranteed savings. We've already helped clients such as Derby City Council identify over £12m in annual savings.
About the Role
We're offering a graduate opportunity to join our Central POD as a Harness Operator. "The harness" is our governed AI engineering framework. It uses AI to build (or "print") client software at far greater speed than traditional development, while a human developer verifies every output before it ships. As a Harness Operator, you'll be right at the centre of this: turning client requirements into specifications, running build cycles, and checking the results against what the client actually asked for.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
