Role Description
The Graduate Software Engineer will work on-site in Cambridge in a full-time capacity, collaborating with experienced engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and back-end services. Day-to-day tasks include:

The role involves working with object-oriented programming concepts, building and integrating APIs, and supporting back-end web development tasks. The engineer will participate in sprint planning, documentation, and technical discussions, while learning best practices in software development, security, and performance optimization. The position offers mentorship, structured feedback, and opportunities to contribute to production systems as skills grow.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), including classes, inheritance, encapsulation, and design patterns.
- Exposure to Back-End Web Development, such as building APIs, working with databases, and using server-side frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and accept constructive feedback.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic software testing practices (unit and integration testing).
- Interest in learning new technologies, participating in code reviews, and following agile or iterative development processes.
