Job Title: Graduate Software Developer
Location: Manchester City Centre (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week in office)
Role Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £30,000 plus benefits
Overview:
We're supporting one of Manchester's most established digital consultancies as they continue to grow their engineering team.
Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Graduate Software Developer to join their Client Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their software development career to gain hands-on commercial experience while working alongside experienced developers on a broad range of client projects.
You'll play a key role in supporting and enhancing existing digital platforms, working on bug fixes, maintenance, small feature enhancements and client support tickets. With structured mentoring and ongoing development, you'll build your technical skills across modern Microsoft technologies while gaining exposure to the full software development lifecycle.

- Develop, maintain and enhance web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core and front-end technologies.
- Investigate and resolve client support tickets, bugs and technical issues.
- Deliver small enhancements and new functionality across a variety of client websites and applications.
- Work closely with Senior Developers and Technical Leads to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and learn engineering best practices.
- Assist with testing, debugging and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Consultants and Client Services teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge through mentoring, training and hands-on experience.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent commercial experience).
- Experience developing applications using C# and.NET through university, placements or personal projects.
- An understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- A genuine passion for software development and technology.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.

Desirable:
- Experience with ASP.NET Core.
- Exposure to React or another modern JavaScript framework.
- Knowledge of Git version control.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Personal, university or placement projects demonstrating your development skills.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms such as Umbraco or Kentico.
