Graduate Software Engineer
Location: Guildford or Tewkesbury
We are working with a highly specialist technology business that is expanding its engineering team and is looking to recruit several Graduate Software Engineers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong graduate to join an organisation working on complex, high-value engineering projects where software development, data processing, and security-focused technologies come together.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to a broad range of technologies rather than being restricted to a single development area.

Your work is likely to include:
- Developing software for security-focused applications
- Developing signal, image, and data processing applications
- Programming predominantly in C/C++, alongside Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Rust
- Developing user interfaces and supporting applications
- Working on technically challenging problems requiring strong analytical thinking
- Supporting customers and providing technical guidance on developed solutions

Our client is particularly interested in graduates who have:
- A 1st or 2:1 degree or PhD in a numerate discipline
- Strong academic results, particularly in Maths and Physics
- Some software development experience, ideally including C/C++
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The motivation to work independently and take ownership of technical challenges
