Job Description
You will join a high-growth fintech startup to build the core financial infrastructure for an autonomous savings agent. Working directly with an experienced CTO, you will develop the money-movement engine, ledger, and APIs using Java and Spring on AWS, ensuring your code reaches customers and creates immediate impact.

What You Will Do
- Build and test backend services in Java/Spring on AWS to power the core savings agent technology.
- Architect and maintain event-driven systems using Kafka and event sourcing as you develop the money-movement engine.
- Write clean, well-tested code for APIs and ledgers, taking direct feedback through code reviews from the founding technical team.

The ideal candidate
- Solid Java fundamentals acquired through a CS degree or rigorous self-taught experience, with a focus on clean, correct code.
- Proven track record of building things independently, demonstrated through side projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
- UK-based professional with the right to work in the UK and a strong desire to learn the nuances of payments and fintech.
