Graduate Software Engineer

About the Role

Are you a recent Computer Science graduate looking to launch your career in software development and technology? We are seeking a passionate and motivated Graduate Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This entry-level role is ideal for graduates who enjoy designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions while learning modern technologies and industry best practices.

No prior professional experience is required. Full training and mentorship will be provided to help you build a successful career in software engineering, cloud computing, DevOps, artificial intelligence, and modern application development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and software testing activities.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Support application deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Work with databases to store, retrieve, and manage application data.
  • Assist in developing APIs and integrating third-party services.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Stay updated with emerging programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across software development projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Recent graduate
  • Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented programming.
  • Basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, C++, or TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and modern web development frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs, object-oriented programming, and software testing.
  • Academic projects, GitHub repositories, internships, hackathons, or personal software development projects are beneficial but not required.
