As part of this journey, you’ll join one of our specialist tracks aligned to your interests:
Data Engineer: turn data into powerful insights, working with modern analytics tools and cloud platforms to drive smarter, data-led decisions.
Software Engineer: bring ideas to life by building scalable, user-focused applications using modern frameworks and full-stack technologies.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: Identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)
This role is based in either Telford or Hove, and you’ll typically be in the office up to 3 days a week, so you’ll need to be within commuting distance of your chosen location. What you will bring
Data Engineer:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related STEM discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Programming ability in Python, R, or Java
- Understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, or data pipelines (desirable)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing principles
- Academic, personal, or internship projects involving data analysis or insights

Software Engineer:
- Degree in Computer Science or related a STEM discipline
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, C++, JavaScript)
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- Experience with modern frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Spring Boot, Django)
- Knowledge of full-stack development concepts (e.g. MEAN/MERN)
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development
- Awareness of CI/CD tools (e.g. Docker, Jenkins) and DevOps practices
- Understanding of software testing, debugging, and SDLC
- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
- Projects or internships showcasing software development skills
