Graduate Structural Engineer / Junior Structural Engineer

Central London | Hybrid Working

About the Role

Looking to start your structural engineering career with a consultancy where you'll be given responsibility, exposure to exceptional projects and genuine support towards Chartership?

Our client is an award-winning structural and civil engineering consultancy with a reputation for innovative thinking, sustainable design and delivering technically challenging projects across London and the UK.

From large-scale regeneration schemes and complex refurbishments to high-profile commercial, residential and cultural projects, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on projects that will challenge and develop you from day one.

The Opportunity

As a Graduate / Junior Structural Engineer, you'll work closely with experienced Chartered Engineers, Associates and Directors to develop your technical expertise and practical understanding of construction.

You'll be involved in:

  • Structural design calculations and analysis
  • New build and refurbishment projects
  • Site visits and structural inspections
  • Working collaboratively with architects, contractors and the wider design team
  • Producing engineering solutions that balance buildability, cost and sustainability
  • Developing your knowledge of low-carbon engineering and modern construction techniques
  • Building the experience required to progress towards Chartership with IStructE or ICE.

What They Are Looking For

  • MEng or BEng in Structural Engineering from an IStructE-accredited university
  • Fresh Graduate or up to 3 years' consultancy experience
  • Strong academic background
  • Passion for structural engineering and problem solving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ambitious, motivated and keen to develop professionally
  • Interest in achieving Chartered Engineer status in the future.
