As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers on a diverse range of projects, gaining experience across the structural design process from concept through to construction.
What will you do?
- Support the structural design and analysis of buildings across a range of sectors.
- Assist with structural calculations and the design of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures.
- Develop structural drawings, details, and technical documentation.
- Use industry-standard structural engineering and design software.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants to coordinate designs.
- Attend project meetings and site visits to develop your understanding of construction.
- Develop your knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and industry guidance.
- Learn from experienced engineers while progressively taking on greater responsibility.

What are we looking for?
- A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- An interest in structural design and how buildings are constructed.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning.
- Previous placement, internship, or relevant engineering experience is desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, Robot, ETABS, or similar is advantageous.
