Are you a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate looking to launch your engineering career within a world-leading manufacturing company?

At EGGER we are looking for a Graduate Mechanical Support Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment, working alongside experienced engineers and maintenance professionals to support plant reliability, maintenance improvement and engineering projects.

From day one, you'll be involved in real engineering challenges, helping to optimise equipment performance, support maintenance activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site. This role provides an excellent platform for graduates seeking to build a long-term engineering career within manufacturing. You will receive structured support and development while gaining valuable experience across maintenance, reliability engineering, project engineering and continuous improvement activities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Mechanical Engineer and Engineering Manager with maintenance and engineering projects.
  • Assisting with equipment failure investigations, root cause analysis and reliability improvement activities.
  • Maintaining engineering drawings, technical documentation and equipment records.
  • Supporting the use and development of SAP Plant Maintenance and other maintenance systems.
  • Contributing to maintenance planning, preventive maintenance programmes and equipment strategies.
  • Assisting with engineering reporting, data analysis and KPI monitoring.
  • Participating in continuous improvement and business improvement projects.
  • Working closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance and external contractors.
  • Supporting the installation, commissioning and handover of new equipment and plant modifications.
  • Promoting high standards of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental performance.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree qualified, or due to graduate in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings; CAD experience would be beneficial.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Organised, proactive and eager to learn.
  • Knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance or maintenance management systems would be advantageous.
  • German language skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
